The E-Bike Positive initiative is supported by extensive work behind the scenes by the BA and ACT to influence Government and other agencies. A number of ongoing workstreams reached publication in recent weeks:
- Guidance for police on enforcing e-bikes regulations, produced with the MCIA (Motorcycle Industries Association)
- A briefing for MPs on illegal e-bike road safety risks, produced with PACTS (the Parliamentary Advisory Council on Transport Safety)
- Consultation responses on the UK's future product safety and enforcement frameworks, including better controls on online marketplaces to address unsafe and illegal e-bike products, and discussing the options for tighter regulation of e-bike battery packs.
